Emilia’s Lindy passion has been insatiable since starting her dance classes in Freiburg in 2015.
As a primary school music teacher, she brings her great enthusiasm for music and music-making to her dance. Movement is part of music, and vice versa. So, her dance partners often get a little whistling or humming concert thrown in for good measure. It’s important to her that participants of her dance classes can recognize and express musicality within their bodies. Communication between dancers, whether in partner dancing or solo jazz breakaways, is of paramount importance.
By now, she engages with her dance partners and shares her love of playful dance in her new home of Stuttgart.
Anna first started swing dancing in 2020. She fell in love with the freedom and expressiveness of jazz music and the rich history of authentic jazz dance. She loves social dancing to live music as well as creating performance pieces for the stage. Anna strives to connect through musicality and playfulness, both when dancing in a couple or jamming in a solo jazz circle.
Anna and Emilia will present a Lindy Hop Switch showcase and teach a 30 min taster class.
Lindy Hop is an African American art form.
